Learn about one mother’s journey to find treatment for her son with HH.  As a physician herself, her colleagues told her she was reading too much into her son’s odd behaviors. Believing in her parental instinct and medical training, she kept searching until her questions were answered.

On June 6, 2013, Ruth Bristol, MD, a neurosurgeon at Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, removed her son’s hypothalamic hamartoma. He continues his successful recovery with an improved quality of life.

Two media outlets in Arizona (Arizona Republic Newspaper & Channel 12 News) wanted to share her story. Please click on the links below to hear more.
