Chris Murto, a Barrow HH Program patient, is seizure free for the first time in over 20 years after his surgery last month performed by Dr. Peter Nakaji.

Chris’s seizures failed to improve with radiation treatment so he opted for laser thermoablation procedure at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Watch his story featured on Channel 10 News.

If you have questions about laser thermoablation to treat hypothalamic hamartomas, please post a comment or question to this blog or contact me directly at Margaret.bobrowitz@dignityhealth.org
